Which size should I knit?
Six sizes, XS to 2XL, measured flat from underarm to underarm: 44, 46, 48, 52, 54 and 57 cm. Measure a sweater that fits you the same way and compare. The body is 40 to 50 cm from underarm to hem and the sleeve 48 to 54 cm.
The pattern shows a black sweater — which colours do I use?
The pattern’s yarn list and charts are drawn for a version with a black main colour. In this kit lagoon heather is the main colour for the collar, body and sleeves, white stays as colour A, and rust heather, garnet red and black heather take the place of the three accent colours.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds 10 balls of lagoon heather, the main-colour amount for 2XL. XS uses 6, S and M 8, L and XL 9. The pattern uses 2 balls of white and 1 of each accent; the kit has 2 white, 2 rust heather, 1 garnet red and 1 black heather.
How are the yoke increases made?
With yarn overs, which you twist on the next round so they do not leave holes. The pattern also gives you the option of 4 to 6 short rows after the collar.
What else will I need?
Scrap yarn to hold the sleeve stitches, stitch markers, a tapestry needle and scissors. The pattern lists them; they are not in the kit.
What does the kit with needles include?
4.5 mm (US 7) and 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles, each in 40 and 80 cm, and 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
