Saga wool sweater in white

The inspiration for this sweater originates from a powerful saga but when closure came, the end felt better unwritten

This knitting kit includes all material needed to make your own traditional Icelandic sweater: "Saga án fléttu" sweater made of Álafosslopi and Léttlopi, designed by Védís Jónsdóttir

Includes: Pattern in English, *optional knitting needles and wool yarn needed to make the largest sweater (L)

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?
