Puffin Hat — Knitting Kit

The Puffin Hat by Olga Begak is a charming Icelandic-inspired colorwork hat featuring puffin motifs and graphic patterning. Knitted in Léttlopi by Ístex, it is warm, lightweight, and full of character. The design uses a rich mix of Lagoon, White, Glacier Blue, Bottle Green, Galaxy, and Apricot for a fun and eye-catching winter accessory.

A matching sweater featuring the same puffin pattern also available both in adult's and children's sizes.

What’s in the kit

The kit includes Léttlopi yarn in the original pattern colors — one skein of each of the following colors:

• 9423 Lagoon
• 0051 White
• 1404 Glacier Blue
• 1405 Bottle Green
• 1707 Galaxy
• 1704 Apricot

Knitting pins are optional and included only if you choose the ‘With needles’ variant.

Please note that you may also need some stitch markers, however they are not included in our kits.

Gauge

16 sts × 20 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Construction

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. The ribbing is worked first on smaller needles, then the colorwork chart is worked on larger needles. Change to double pointed needles when necessary during crown shaping.

This is a physical knitting kit and ships worldwide.

Once you have completed the payment for this product you will receive an email with download instructions for a digital copy of this pattern. It will be in PDF format.
