Neisti — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
Four ages — 8, 10, 12 and 14 years — with a chest of 80, 84, 89 and 93 cm all round. This is the short version: 24, 26, 28 and 30 cm from hem to underarm.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for 14 years: 6 balls of white, 2 of navy and one each of heaven blue, spring green, crimson, apricot and mimosa. Ages 8 and 10 use 5 white and 1 navy; age 12 uses the same as 14.
How deep is the ribbing?
The hem, cuffs and collar are all 1×1 rib, 6, 7, 8 or 9 cm deep depending on size.
What is the difference between the white and red Neisti?
The white one is shorter, with deep rib and a seven-colour yoke; the red one is full length with patterned borders at the hem and cuffs. Same ages and needles.
What does the kit with needles include?
4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles in 40 and 60 cm, 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles in 40 and 60 cm, and 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
