NEI! — your questions, answered

NEI or NO! — which does it say?
Your choice. The pattern has one chart for the first 20 rounds of the yoke spelling NEI and one spelling NO!; after that both follow the same chart.
Which size should I knit?
Four sizes — S, M, L and XL — with a chest of 89, 99, 109 and 119 cm. It is long: 50 to 56 cm from the edge to the underarm. Sleeves are 46 to 49 cm for women and 50 to 53 cm for men.
What is the red yarn for?
One ball of flame red Einband. With two strands and a tapestry needle you embroider the symbols and accents on the yoke in back stitch and French knots, plus crosses and lines between the letters, and you make the hood’s drawstring from it.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for XL: 12 balls of black, 3 of white and 1 of flame red Einband. S uses 9 black, M 10 and L 11; S to L use 2 white. Every size uses the one ball of flame red.
What does the kit with needles include?
4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm, 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm, and 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names. A tapestry needle is not included.
