Which size should I knit?
The pattern has women’s sizes XS to 2XL, with a chest of 80, 86, 97, 107, 115 and 125 cm, and men’s sizes S to 2XL, with 89, 98, 107, 116 and 125 cm. The sweater is meant to have 5–13 cm (2–5″) of positive ease; the pattern photo shows women’s M.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for the largest size, men’s 2XL: 13 balls of 0052 black sheep heather, 3 of 1417 frostbite, 2 of 9426 golden heather and one each of the other five colours — 23 balls. Smaller sizes use less: women’s XS takes 14 balls in all, women’s 2XL 21 and men’s XL 22.
Do I need double-pointed needles?
No. The pattern is knitted on circular needles, and the designer recommends the magic loop technique for the sleeves — it helps avoid bunching when increasing and working the pattern.
What does the kit with needles include?
Two ADDI circular needles, 80 cm long: 3.5 mm (US 4) and 4.5 mm (US 7) — the sizes the pattern names.
What else will I need?
The pattern asks for 4 stitch markers, 4 stitch holders and a darning needle. They are not in the kit.
How should I wash and dry it?
The designer asks you to rinse it by hand in lukewarm water, lay it flat to dry to the right measurements, and avoid line drying or hangers — the weight of the water can stretch it.
