Which size should I knit?
Eight sizes, 2XS to 3XL, with a chest of 82, 87, 91, 96, 102, 109, 118 and 124 cm (32¼ to 48¾″) all round. The body is 38 to 45 cm to the underarm and the sleeves 45 to 50 cm, or the length you want.
How are the folded edges made?
You cast on in oatmeal on 3.5 mm needles, knit 9 rounds, purl 1 round as a folding edge, then knit the patterned band. At the end you fold along the purl round and sew the inner layer down loosely. The neck is the same in reverse: the band upside down, a purl round, 9 rounds, and a loose bind-off.
How loose should the neck bind-off be?
Very loose — the designer recommends binding off with a 6 mm needle. A 6 mm needle is not in the needle set.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds 10 balls of white, the amount for 2XL and 3XL; sizes 2XS and XS use 7, S and M 8, L and XL 9. Light beige, oatmeal and grey are 2 balls each in every size.
What does the kit with needles include?
ADDI 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles in 40, 60 and 80 cm, a 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle in 80 cm, and 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm double-pointed needles — the sizes the pattern names.
Is there anything else I need?
Four stitch markers — the pattern suggests one in a different colour for the start of the round — and a tapestry needle. They are not in the kit.
