Good to know

Léttlopi questions, answered

How much Léttlopi do I need for a lopapeysa?
A typical adult sweater takes 400–500 g of the main colour (8–10 balls) plus a ball or two of each contrast colour. Every pattern lists exact amounts per size — and our knitting kits take the guesswork away entirely.
Is Léttlopi itchy?
It has a rustic feel straight off the needles and softens noticeably after washing and wear — it is made to be worn over a light layer rather than on bare skin.
What needle size should I use?
Most patterns call for 4.5–5 mm (US 7–8) at a gauge of about 18 stitches per 10 cm. Always knit a small swatch first to check your tension.
Can I see the colours before buying?
Screens lie about wool. Our Lopi colour cards show every shade in real yarn — knitters planning a full sweater swear by them.
