How it is knitted
Knitted from the neck down. The yoke is garter stitch worked back and forth, with raglan increases made by a yarn over either side of a purled stitch, and an opening at the back. Under the arms the body is joined in the round and knitted in stocking stitch to the hem, which ends in garter ridges on 3.5 mm. The sleeves are picked up, knitted in the round and decreased, with garter-ridge cuffs. Garter borders are picked up along the back opening, one with three buttonholes. In this two-tone version the garter yoke is striped: two rows of dark grey, two rows of ash.
