Hraði — speed. Védís Jónsdóttir’s striped sweater from Ístex’s Einband series is knitted with a single strand of fine Einband on 6 mm needles, which gives a light, open fabric. Wide stripes of black heather, light ash and grey heather with a band of almond heather, rounds of eyelets near the hem and cuffs, and a yoke where the colours change as it narrows.

How it is knitted
Body and sleeves are knitted in the round with a single strand of Einband on 6 mm needles, from a two-strand cast-on up to the underarms, in stripes of black heather, almond heather, light ash heather, grey heather, black heather and light ash heather, with rounds of eyelets near the hem and cuffs. They are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart, with colour changes and decreases. The neck is bound off with two strands of black heather on a 4 mm needle.
