Hjörð — your questions, answered

What size cushion insert do I need?
A 40 × 40 cm insert (15¾″ square). The knitted cover measures 37 × 37 cm and is meant to be smaller than the filling, because the knitted fabric stretches. The insert is not included in the kit.
How is the cushion closed?
With grafting — there is no zip or buttons. You graft the top edge together with light denim from the right side, rinse the cover, put the insert in, and then graft the lower edge together with black.
What do I do with the long floats?
Where you knit more than 7 stitches in the same colour, the pattern tells you to trap the floating strand at the back so it cannot catch.
How much yarn is in the kit?
One 100 g ball of each of the six colours, as the pattern lists: 0005 black heather, 9971 amber, 9964 golden, 9965 chartreuse green, 9958 light indigo and 0008 light denim.
What does the kit with needles include?
One 6 mm (US 10) circular needle, 60 cm — ADDI, the needle the pattern names. It is the only needle the cushion needs.
