Overview
What's in the kit
Glitta — glint. A long walk, the glint of light on the water and the houses at dusk, says the pattern. Védís Jónsdóttir’s scarf from Ístex’s Lopi 40 is knitted in brioche stitch with ivory beige Plötulopi and a strand of Einband that changes colour every stripe — lime, blush, peach, lavender and yellow — with fringes of all five.
Included
- Icelandic Plötulopi and Einband wool yarn — enough for the long scarf
- Knitting pattern in English (PDF) — emailed right after purchase
- ADDI knitting needles — only if you choose the kit with needles

How it is knitted
Knitted back and forth in brioche stitch with a single strand of Plötulopi and a strand of Einband held together. The Plötulopi stays the same all the way; the Einband colour changes every 15 (20) cm in a set order — ten stripes. The fringes are all five Einband colours together, cut to 20 (30) cm and pulled through each stitch at both ends with a crochet hook, then steamed.
Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 40 (no. 21), Ístex.
