GARRI Wool Sweater — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
Five sizes, with a chest of 92 (S), 97 (M), 106 (L), 111 (XL) and 120 cm (XXL), and 41 to 45 cm from the lower edge to the underarm. Then pick the sleeve: men’s 49 to 53 cm or women’s 45 to 49 cm to the underarm.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the amount for XL and XXL: 6 balls of light ash, 2 of light indigo and 2 of black heather. Sizes S, M and L use 5 light ash, and size S uses only 1 black heather.
Do I have to cut my knitting?
Only at the front of the yoke. From round 9 of the yoke chart the round begins at centre front between two purl stitches. After the yoke you sew twice through each column of purl stitches by machine and cut between them; the bands have a facing that hides the sewing.
What closes the front opening?
The pattern uses 6 press studs, four on the bands and two on the collar. They are not in the kit. In our experience studs and clasps can tear the collar over time, so we suggest sewing on buttons instead.
What does the kit with needles contain?
Addi needles in the sizes the pattern names: 6 mm (US 10) and 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles, each in 40 and 80 cm, and 4.5 mm (US 7) and 6 mm (US 10) double-pointed needles.
