A full-size Draumur: Freyja milk chocolate with two parallel straws of soft Icelandic liquorice running through it. Bite across and you get creamy, sweet chocolate first, then the liquorice — sharp, a little salty, lasting. The pairing Iceland is quietly famous for, in till-side bar form.
Draumur means "dream", and Rosa Draumur — the pink one — is one of Freyja's most popular bars; Freyja has made chocolate and sweets in Reykjavík since 1918. Trivia: liquorice root is about 50 times sweeter than sugar, so Icelandic liquorice gets tempered with salt — or chocolate.
