Freyja Banana Bombur — 150 g

Bite-size pieces of soft banana-flavoured toffee inside a milk-chocolate shell. It's an unashamedly old-fashioned combination — creamy chocolate, then that sweet, slightly candied banana taste from the toffee — soft, moreish and easy to eat too many of. No liquorice at all in this one, so it's a safe pick for the whole table.

Bombur ("bombs") is Freyja's name for its chocolate-covered toffee bites; the liquorice version is the famous one, this is the banana one. Freyja has been making sweets in Reykjavík since 1918 — Iceland's oldest confectioner.
