Plain Freyja milk chocolate in a 100 g bar, with the northern lights on the wrapper: green aurora over still water and a dark shoreline. Freyja calls the chocolate rjómasúkkulaði, literally "cream chocolate"; it has at least 36% cocoa solids and six ingredients: sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, cocoa mass, rapeseed lecithin and vanillin.

Made in Kópavogur by Freyja, Iceland's oldest working sweet maker, founded 1918, as one of its Freyja Original bars.

What flavour is the Northern Lights bar?

Plain milk chocolate. The name is the picture on the wrapper; inside, Freyja's sheet lists rjómasúkkulaði with at least 36% cocoa solids and no filling.

Is it the same chocolate as the Eldgos and Kirkjufell bars?

Yes. Freyja's specifications for all three list the same six ingredients and the same nutrition. Only the picture changes, so choose by the person.

Is it safe for a nut allergy?

There are no nuts in the recipe, but Freyja says the bar may contain traces of nuts and wheat, so we would not give it to someone with a nut allergy. It contains milk.

Is it all right to order in summer?

Chocolate can soften in warm months. We do not refund melted chocolate unless you add Shipping protection in the cart (terms of service, sections 9 and 10). A soft bar firms up again in the fridge.

Will I pay duties or customs on delivery?
