How it is knitted
The body is cast on in garnet red on a 4 mm needle, knitted in light twisted rib, then in stocking stitch on 4.5 mm up to the underarms with three decreases at each side. The sleeves start in navy twisted rib with a patterned band at the cuff. Body and sleeves are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart; the neckband is navy twisted rib.

Why you'll love it
- Migrating birdsFarfuglar are the birds that fly far north to Iceland — in the pattern’s words their arrival brings joy, and gloom when they gather to leave.
- Five colours in the yokeGarnet red with navy, mimosa yellow, apricot and white — the navy repeats in the cuffs and neckband.
- Wider at the hemThree decreases at each side shape the body from the hem to the chest, and the neckline sits wider than on a traditional yoke.
- Or the white oneThe white and air-blue colourway is a kit of its own — or swap any colour here in the colour picker at no charge.
