What's in the kit
Drekabörn — dragon children. In the pattern’s words, they don’t turn to stone when the sun hits them: they are fearless, run fast and fly. Védís Jónsdóttir’s children’s sweater from Ístex’s Lopi 38 is knitted with two strands of Plötulopi — clover green, with a yoke of little dark figures on light ash and two blues. The pattern’s two blues are no longer made, so this kit has replacements: 1431 arctic blue heather in place of 1053 faded denim, and 2022 blues blue in place of 1052 denim.

Gauge

How it is knitted
Knitted with two strands of Plötulopi together. Body and sleeves are knitted in the round from 3 cm of 1×1 rib in clover green up to the underarms; then they are joined and the yoke is knitted in the round from a chart with decreases. Black and midnight blue are knitted together as one colour for the figures. The neckband is 1×1 rib in black and midnight blue, folded in half to the inside and sewn down.
