How it is knitted
Knitted in the round from the bottom up, with two purl stitches at centre front for the steek. The body rib is knitted back and forth (the sleeve ribs in the round), then the body and sleeves are patterned all over from one 32-round chart: rows of little houses in black heather with light beige windows, roofs against light ash, and zigzag bands in stone blue — never more than two colours in a round. Body and sleeves are joined for a raglan yoke, short rows raise the back neck, and a rib collar finishes it. The front is machine-sewn, cut open and the zip sewn in.
Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 36 (no. 2), Ístex.
