ASKA Ash — your questions, answered

Which size should I knit?
There are five sizes, S to XXL, with a chest of 94, 101, 105, 110 and 114 cm (37 to 45″) all round. The body measures 34 to 39 cm to the underarm and the sleeves 42 to 46 cm.
How much yarn does each size use?
One 50 g ball of each of the six colours, in every size. The kit holds exactly that: black heather, dark grey heather, grey heather, 1027, 1026 and white.
How are the eyelet rounds made?
Knit two together and yarn over, all round. On the next round you knit into each yarn over. There is an eyelet round at every colour change, on body and sleeves.
How are the edges finished?
The body starts with a 3 cm edge that is hemmed at the bottom when you finish. At the neck, the last round knits every two stitches together and binds off in the same round, so there is no separate neckband.
Is there anything to know about washing?
Yes. The pattern warns that garments made from Einband stretch when washed, so rinse it by hand in lukewarm water and lay it flat to dry in the correct measurements.
What does the kit with needles include?
6 mm (US 10) circular needles in 40 and 80 cm and 6 mm (US 10) double-pointed needles — ADDI, the sizes the pattern names.
