Which size should I knit?
The designer suggests about 10 cm of positive ease: measure around your chest, add 10 cm and pick the closest size. S, M, L, XL and XXL measure 93, 101, 110, 120 and 130 cm around the chest.
What is the difference between the women’s and men’s version?
Only the length. The body is 41 to 45 cm to the underarm for women and 46 to 50 cm for men, and the men’s sleeves are longer too; the chest is the same.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the XXL amount: 7 balls of light ash heather, 2 of navy, 2 of arctic exposure and one each of burnt orange and golden heather. S and M use 5 light ash heather, L 6 and XL 7; S and M need only 1 arctic exposure.
How is the neck finished?
Both options are knitted in the base colour on 4.5 mm needles. The short neck is 7 cm of k1, p1 rib, bound off loosely, folded and sewn down; the high neck is 20 cm of k2, p2 rib, bound off in pattern.
What does the kit with needles include?
6 mm (US 10) and 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles, each in 40 and 80 cm, and 4.5 mm and 6 mm double-pointed needles — ADDI. The pattern also uses 7 mm (US 10¾) circular needles, 40 and 80 cm, for the colourwork bands; these are not included.
