The Aegishjalmur, or Helm of Awe, is primarily a symbol of protection and power. Consisting of eight spiked tridents radiating out from a central point, it was believed to instill fear in enemies and shield the bearer from physical, mental, or spiritual harm.

The Helm of Awe, Ægishjálmur, and the Wayfinder, Vegvísir, are both magical symbols that fall into the category of sigils, or staves or galdrastafir.

The wooden buttons are 21mm in diameter and the round shape as well as the button holes are laser cut which produces very smooth edges that won't snag your clothes.
