Stuðlagil - Icelandic Handmade Chocolate

A thick handmade bar of 61% dark chocolate and caramel chocolate, topped with toasted coconut flakes caramelised in coconut palm sugar, juicy dried cranberries and a pinch of coarse sea salt. Crisp coconut first, then the sharp-sweet cranberry, then salt against dark chocolate. Break it into ragged pieces; it isn't a bar for neat squares.

Made by Anna Marta, an artisan chocolate maker in Iceland, in a series named after Icelandic landscapes. Stuðlagil is the basalt-column canyon in East Iceland.
