Skyrgámur is the eighth of Iceland's thirteen Yule Lads and comes down from the mountains on 19 December. His weakness is skyr, the thick Icelandic dairy food. The National Museum of Iceland says he liked it so much that he would sneak into the pantry and empty the tub. In English he is Skyr Glutton or Skyr Gobbler.
Here he is bent double over a hooped wooden tub, eyes shut, one hand already in the skyr. At about 8.5 cm he is the lowest figure in the series. Designed by Brian Pilkington, painted by hand, and boxed with a booklet in English. He is an ornament for the shelf, not a toy.

Why you'll love it
- He went straight for the pantryAs the National Museum of Iceland tells it, he liked skyr so much that he would sneak into the pantry and eat the tub empty.
- The small things are brushworkThe patch on his trousers, the stripes on his stockings and the hoops round the tub are all painted by hand. Brian Pilkington, the designer, has praised the precision of the painters.
- A present that goes with breakfastOne customer planned to give him at Christmas together with some skyr and a box of Puffins cereal.
- Two lads a yearAnother customer gives their mother two different Yule Lads every Christmas, in memory of a holiday in Iceland. Skyr Glutton was one of that year's pair.
- Lower than ShortyBy the maker's measurements he is the lowest figure in the series, a few millimetres under Stúfur, because he is folded over the tub.
