Why you'll love it
- He just wants the bangIn the National Museum of Iceland's telling he went about slamming doors, so that people could hardly get any rest. That is the whole of his crime.
- He still does it at the museumThe National Museum in Reykjavík says the Yule Lads have been visiting it each December since 1988, one a day, and that Door Slammer slams its doors every time.
- Drawn from what he doesBrian Pilkington has said the old verses hardly describe how the lads look, so he worked out each one's appearance from his habits. Hence the bent knees and the firm grip on the handle.
- A present with the joke built inOne reviewer calls him a great gift and trusts him to see that the doors at home get shut loudly.
- Often one of a pairReviewers mention buying him together with Window Peeper, and a son-in-law who has collected the lads ever since a family visit to Iceland.
