Small pearls with a soft, mildly salty liquorice centre, a coat of milk chocolate and a thin, crunchy sugar shell. Sweet, then salty, then sweet again — and, fair warning, very hard to stop eating. The classic Djúpur are white; this Easter bag mixes them with pink peach-flavoured and yellow caramel-flavoured pearls.
Djúpur (literally "deep") are one of Freyja's best-loved sweets — Freyja has been making chocolate and candy in Reykjavík since 1918 — and the Easter edition is a spring-only twist on the same pearl.
