Bland í poka — Mixed candy bag (400 g)

"Bland í poka" means "mix in a bag", and that's the product: a 400 g assortment of Icelandic sweets — chocolate-coated bites, fruity jellies, soft caramels, marshmallows and whatever else made the mix that week. Creamy, chewy, fruity, a hint of liquorice; a little of everything, so everyone at the table finds a favourite and argues about the rest.

The mixed bag is how Icelanders buy sweets for a film night — pick-and-mix, but pre-picked. This one is put together from the Nói Síríus range in Reykjavík.

Good to know: 400 g bag · assorted sweets; contents vary by batch · contains milk, wheat (gluten) and gelatine (not vegetarian); may contain traces of tree nuts — always check the pack for the current list · per 100 g (average): 438 kcal · store cool and dry, reseal after opening; there's chocolate in it, so keep it cool.

How people buy it: The film-night bag, the office bowl, the "bring Icelandic sweets" request in one go; 10 bags for expats sharing an order.
