Which size should I knit?
Four adult sizes, S to XL, with a chest of 35, 38½, 42 and 45 inches (89, 98, 106.5 and 114.5 cm) all round. Compare with a sweater that fits you, then choose the women’s or men’s lengths.
How do the women’s and men’s versions differ?
Women’s: 15 to 17″ to the underarm, sleeves 18 to 19½″. Men’s: 16 to 18½″ to the underarm, sleeves 19½ to 21″, with more sleeve increases, so the sleeves are wider at the top. The yoke chart marks where each version starts.
Will I have yarn left over?
The kit holds the XL amount: 9 balls of murky, 3 of white and 2 of black sheep heather. S and M use 7 murky and L uses 8; S and M use 2 white; size S uses 1 black sheep heather.
The pattern is written in inches — what needles are those?
The pattern gives measurements in inches and needles as US sizes 7 and 4, which are 4.5 mm and 3.5 mm. The gauge is 18 stitches and 24 rows to 4″ (10 cm) on the 4.5 mm needles.
Is there a children’s version?
