Description

Riddari — the Knight — is one of the best-loved Icelandic lopapeysa patterns: a classic round-yoke pullover knitted in Léttlopi, here in the pattern’s original moor green with a yoke in black, light beige and frostbite green. Body and sleeves are worked in the round from the lower edge, then joined to knit the yoke in the round.

Many of our customers knit their first lopapeysa from one of these kits. Choose a one-colour or simple-yoke design to start, and warm up with our free patterns. Stuck mid-project? Write to us — we knit these ourselves.

What exactly is in the box?

The knitting pattern and the genuine Ístex lopi yarn for the design. On most kits you can add needles as an option at no fuss.

Which yarn do the kits use?

Most use Léttlopi — the classic lopapeysa yarn — while some designs call for Álafoss Lopi, Plötulopi or Einband. Each kit page says which.

Do US orders pay customs on delivery?

No — duties and taxes are settled at checkout, so nothing is due when the parcel arrives. No customs bills, no courier fees.
