Sporður — Knitting pattern
Original design by: Védís Jónsdóttir
Sporður is airy and graphic—worked in the round with playful motifs that taper towards the neck. Plötulopi plates keep the fabric light, while a tall ribbed collar finishes the silhouette.

Knitting needles & notions
4.5 mm (US 7) circulars 40 & 80–100 cm; 3.5 mm (US 4) circular 40 cm.
Gauge
18 sts and 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in St st using 4.5 mm needles. Check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary.
Construction
Worked in the round from the lower edge. Regularly spaced decreases define center‑front and center‑back lines, then patterned colorwork continues to the neckline before switching to 2×2 rib for the collar.
