What's in the kit
Step into the world of Norse mythology with this unique deck of playing cards featuring the pagan gods and legendary characters of the ancient stories. The illustrations are created by Icelandic artist Nína Björk Bjarkadóttir, bringing the powerful figures of the myths to life through her distinctive artistic interpretation.
An explanatory booklet is included in the deck, introducing the characters and their roles in the mythical tales of the creation of the cosmos, the adventures of the gods, and the heroic deeds of gods and men. These stories are preserved in the Prose Edda, written around the year 1200 by the renowned Icelandic writer Snorri Sturluson.
