The eight-petalled rose has long been common in Icelandic pattern. This old but classic design is based on an ancient pattern that is very reminiscent of a frosted rose. The eight-leafed rose is based on a pattern from the vision book of Jón Einarsson, a farmer and fortune teller in Skaftafell in the 18th century. The book contains many patterns intended for needlework and is preserved in the National Museum of Iceland.
The tops come in sizes S-XL and are available in black and pink.
