Liquorice Chocolate Bites with Marzipan filling / 200 gr

Soft pieces of black Appolo liquorice with a sweet “marzipan” filling, dipped in Góa milk chocolate and rolled in crisp puffed rice. You get chocolate and crunch first, then the chewy liquorice and the sweet, coconut-scented centre; a little salmiak salt keeps it from being cloying. It's the whole Icelandic sweet-shop in one bite.

In Iceland these are Appolo Lakkrísbitar — “liquorice bites” — made by Góa in Hafnarfjörður, a couple of streets from our warehouse.
