Goa Caramels (150 gr)

Hard, wrapped caramels that you let dissolve rather than chew, in three flavours: classic caramel (the buttery one), dark caramel (deeper, more cooked sugar) and liquorice caramel, where liquorice root and a drop of aniseed oil sit inside the sweetness. The wrappers come in red, black and brown, so you can tell which is which — and most families disagree about which is best.

Góa is the confectioner in Hafnarfjörður, the same town as our warehouse, and these caramels are the sort of thing Icelanders keep in a bowl by the door for guests.
