Ferð — Knitting pattern
Original design by: Védís Jónsdóttir
Ferð (“Trip”) is a minimalist pullover worked seamlessly from the collar. After a tall collar and a compact rib transition, the yoke grows through right‑ and left‑lifted increases before separating for body and sleeves. The body has a gentle A‑line, finished with a tidy 3×1 rib; sleeves taper smoothly to ribbed cuffs. Instructions specify exact stitch counts, increase/decrease rounds, and finishing so you can focus on rhythmical stockinette.

Construction
Cast on loosely and work the tall collar in the round; switch to 3.5 mm and decrease evenly before a short rib. Increase evenly and begin the yoke on 5 mm needles, following the charted increase scheme until the listed stitch counts are reached. Divide for sleeves and body with underarm stitches placed on holders and cast‑on bridges. Shape the slightly A‑line body with alternating slanting increases at the side markers, then finish with 3×1 rib and a tailored bind‑off. Pick up sleeve stitches and work scheduled decreases to the cuffs; finish both sleeves and block to measurements.
