Carmen — Knitting pattern
Carmen is a folkloric bolero knit in two mirrored parts. Short‑row shaping sculpts each back half, then stitches are cast on for the sides and sleeves to knit in the round. After working the charted motif and sleeve shaping, the halves meet and are neatly grafted at center back. Seed‑stitch borders and cuffs add texture and keep edges tidy.

Circular 4.5 mm (40 & 60–80 cm); double‑pointed 4.5 mm.
Gauge
18 sts × 24 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette on 4.5 mm needles.
Construction
Work left and right back halves flat with short rows, pick up for sides/sleeves and knit in the round. Work chart; finish sleeves and seed‑stitch edges. Graft backs at center and block.
