Appolo stjörnurúllur - Marsipan liquorish rolls

Appolo Stjörnurúllur: soft Icelandic liquorice rolled up with a sweet, coconut-flavoured "marzipan" layer, in pink and yellow. The first bite is sweet, then the liquorice comes through — a bit bitter, a bit salty — and it chews slowly, so a roll takes a while. For people who already love liquorice.

Stjörnurúlla means "star roll", after the spiral you see when you bite one. Made by Góa in Hafnarfjörður, a couple of streets from our warehouse.
