Appolo stjörnurúllur - Marsipan liquorish rolls

Appolo Stjörnurúllur: soft Icelandic liquorice rolled up with a sweet, coconut-flavoured "marzipan" layer, in pink and yellow. The first bite is sweet, then the liquorice comes through — a bit bitter, a bit salty — and it chews slowly, so a roll takes a while. For people who already love liquorice.

Stjörnurúlla means "star roll", after the spiral you see when you bite one. Made by Góa in Garðabær, the next town over from our warehouse.
