The Icelandic wool blanket, Vopnafjörður, is named after a small village in North East Iceland where only 700 people live. The name Vopnafjorður, translates to ‘fjord of weapons’.

The throws are made of Icelandic wool and are therefore extremely durable, lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is additionally combed after weaving to make it soft.

• Hand Wash Recommended: Gently wash in a basin or tub, avoiding the use of a washing machine to prevent damage to the wool fibers.
• Avoid Wringing or Twisting: Post-wash, don't wring or twist the blanket to remove water as it can deform its shape.
• Air Dry Properly: Lay the blanket flat on a clean surface to air dry, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
• Storage Tips: Store in a cool, dry place, preferably in a breathable cotton bag for protection against dust and moths. Avoid plastic containers or bags.
