Questions people ask before they buy

Who are the Yule Lads?
Thirteen brothers from Icelandic folklore who come down from the mountains one at a time in the thirteen nights before Christmas, each with his own mischief — Spoon Licker, Door Slammer, Sausage Swiper and so on. Their mother is the ogress Grýla, their father Leppalúði, and the family cat eats children who didn't get new clothes for Christmas.
How big are the figures?
Collectible size, made for a mantelpiece or windowsill display; the set ships at about 6 kg with every figure packed individually.
Are they suitable for children?
They are hand-painted display figures rather than toys — fine for children to look at and hear the stories, best kept out of reach of the very small.
Will I pay duties or customs on delivery?
Not in the US or Canada — duties and taxes are settled at checkout. For other destinations, any local import charges are collected by the courier on delivery.
Is there a smaller version?
Yes — the set of 14 hanging ornaments and the set of 7 ornaments, and the Yule Lads book by Brian Pilkington tells the whole story.
