The beautiful Silhouette tea light holders are laser cut ply wood and shaped like the Vegvísir or Nordic Compass. When you lit on the candle it will cast The Flower of Life shaped shadow so place strategically near a wall or such for an added effect. Shape of Iceland laser engraved on the wood.
The Vegvisir, also known as the Nordic compass, Odin compass, and the Viking compass. In Icelandic translates to 'sign post' or 'way finder'. It is a symbol composed of eight-pointed shape, with each point having a unique design and is associated with protection and guidance. It is believed to have been used by Vikings as a compass or a wayfinder.
