Þvörusleikir, the Spoon Licker, is the fourth of Iceland's thirteen Yule Lads and comes on 15 December. A þvara is the old Icelandic stirring tool, and in the folklore he sneaked into houses to lick the one the pots were scraped with.
This hanging ornament, designed by Brian Pilkington, catches him stepping through a red ring lettered ÞVÖRUSLEIKIR, tongue out, with a wooden spoon in each hand. Painted by hand on both sides, about 7.5 cm (3 in), and boxed with a small English booklet about the whole family. Keep him for the tree and out of the toy box. The set of all 14 has his brothers too.
