I purchased this yarn here to make ANKESTRiCK's Big Love and am loving knitting with it so far! I had been looking at Lopi for awhile but my local yarn store doesn't carry it so this was the easiest and cheapest way to order it. I chose the cheapest shipping option, which does not include tracking, but it showed up a couple of weeks later in the bright blue bag and everything was as expected! Very pleased with the ordering experience! The one question I have is that while knitting I put a crumb of what I was also eating into my mouth and it tasted terrible. Istex's website says the yarn is untreated with pesticides, but I don't know if something gets added at some point to keep moths out of this yarn. More information on this would be helpful and if I need to air the yarn out well before knitting with it to stay safe.

I love this yarn and was thrilled to find it available by mail from Iceland when all my local stores in Seattle were out of the color I needed to finish my sweater. And best of all, it arrived so fast and cost less (even with shipping) than buying it here at home.
I am still waiting for delivery......
The yarn feels a little scratchy as I'm knitting it, but once I wash and block the sweater, the yarn gets very soft and fuzzy. Any stitches that looked slightly uneven seem to even out after washing, and it dried very quickly. The cost to ship the yarn to me in the US was very expensive, but the yarn is definitely worth it. I have a beautiful Icelandic sweater that is very warm and comfortable.
