Váli is one of our more popular sweaters. The pattern is an old Icelandic traditional pattern. It has been an icon for the Icelandic sweater for decades. This one will stand out as a pure Icelandic!

Care guide Sweaters - Short
- Hand Washing: Icelandic wool sweaters should be hand-washed in lukewarm water using a mild detergent that's suitable for wool.
- Avoid Agitation: Gently swish the sweater in the water without rubbing or twisting it, as wool is susceptible to damage when wet.
- Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the sweater in lukewarm water until all soap residue is removed.
- Drying: Press out excess water without wringing, and lay the sweater flat on a towel to air dry. Avoid hanging or exposing it to direct heat or sunlight.
- Storage: Store the wool sweater in a dry and cool place, preferably folded. Avoid using plastic bags, as they can trap moisture and cause damage.

I ordered the Váli sweater and it is very comfortable and warm - it suits the climate of Canada's north perfectly. I ordered a medium and it fits me well. To my eyes, the Blues Blue (#2022) dye used on the main body of the sweater appears slightly darker in person than in the photos, but that in no way takes away from the high rating I give to this sweater. It still looks great. I wanted an authentic piece of hand-knitted Icelandic wool clothing and The Icelandic Store delivered on that. Also, I was very impressed by the smooth ordering and speedy shipping process. I live about 5,000 km away and received my order only 10 days after placing it.

I received my new blue Váli today. It replaces the last Icelandic wool jumper that I purchased in 1977 and which only recently became too worn out. So you can take my word these jumpers LAST.
The new one is simply SUPERB. Totally hand-made, lovely feel, expertly knitted. I hope the Store passes on this review to the lady who knitted my Váli. A wonderful quality garment, very much worth the price.

The jumper is beautiful - exactly as in the pictures and a lovely colour. It arrived in the timeframe indicated (6 weeks) and was very well packaged.
