Regular Cleaning: Vacuum the rug weekly or bi-weekly, and give it a good shake outside to remove dirt and maintain its appearance.

Restoring a Matted Rug: Use a wire slicker brush to gently untangle and fluff up the fibers. Brush in the direction of the hair growth, being careful not to over-brush.

Removing Stains: For stains or spills, gently scrape with the edge of a knife or blot with a damp cloth. After removing the stain, dab with clean water and let it dry. A wool comb can be used to fluff the rug afterward.

Washing the Rug: Avoid washing the rug, especially in a machine, as it can damage the sheepskin. If necessary, hand wash gently in lukewarm water with wool shampoo, rinse thoroughly, squeeze out excess water with towels, and dry on a rack or line, but not in direct sunlight. Brush once dry.
