The sleeves start with 3 cm of black K1, P1 rib on 4 mm double-pointed needles, then a 25-round border from chart 1 on 4.5 mm — stone blue and black checks, camel shapes on black and a camel band — and go on in stone blue, increased under the arm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, a 50-round chart with five decrease rounds, from 232 (248, 264, 280, 296) stitches to 87 (93, 99, 105, 111); the top of the yoke is black. The collar is black: one round with decreases on 4 mm, 5 cm of K1, P1 rib, then the work is turned inside out, and 6 cm more are knitted on the 5.5 mm needle and bound off loosely. Last, a fringe is knotted into every other knitted stitch of the collar: one 14 cm strand of each colour, folded in half and pulled through with a crochet hook.

Original pattern: Jóhanna Hjaltadóttir.
