At the heel, 15 (16) stitches are knitted with waste yarn and then again in A, and the foot carries on for 22 (25) rounds, or until it is a little longer than the little toe. The toe is decreased to 18 (20) stitches and finished square: a 4-stitch band is knitted sideways across the top and sole stitches and grafted to a cast-off edge.
