The body is cast on with 210 (218, 226, 234, 242) stitches on the 4 mm circular, knitted back and forth in garter stitch for 3 cm, then joined with 2 purled steek stitches and knitted in the round on 4.5 mm in the texture pattern: a slipped stitch is crossed over its neighbours every four rounds, so small cables zigzag up the fabric. Two garter stitches mark each side, and the body is decreased beside them nine times, from 105 (109, 113, 117, 121) cm round the hem to 88 (92, 96, 100, 104) cm at the chest. The sleeves start with 6 cm of garter stitch in the round on 4 mm double-pointed needles; then every stitch is knitted into twice, doubling the count, and the pattern begins on 4.5 mm, with a few increases. Body and sleeves are joined, and the yoke is shaped with raglan decreases every other round beside two-stitch garter lines, then finished with 6 cm of garter stitch at the neck, knitted back and forth. The steek is machine-sewn and cut, and 3 cm garter-stitch bands are picked up on both fronts on 4 mm, with six buttons from about 40 cm above the hem to the neck.

Design: Hulda Soffía Arnbergsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 33 (no. 7), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi33-thorunn-1_c1e2ca67-508b-4cfb-ae98-cfa107451b79.jpg?v=1791012822
