It is all one colour; the pattern is in the texture — columns of eyelet holes round the yoke, and lace ribs at the hem, cuffs and neck. The body is wider at the chest than at the hem. Two colour versions, gold yellow and arctic blue, in sizes S/M, M/L and L/XL. The body is cast on loosely with 112 (120, 128) stitches on the 5 mm circular and worked in a lace rib — knit 2, purl 2, with a yarn over and a decrease in each knit rib on every other round; the pattern does not say how long. On 6½ mm it goes on in stocking stitch, with 4 stitches increased at the sides — 2 at each side — six times, every 11th (12th, 12th) round, to 136 (144, 152), and is knitted to 50 (52, 54) cm. The sleeves are cast on with 32 (32, 36) stitches on 5 mm double-pointed needles, worked in the same rib, and increased at the underarm on 6½ mm, 3 (4, 3) times, to 38 (40, 42) stitches, to 40 (41, 42) cm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, 184 (192, 200) stitches; after 12 (15, 18) plain rounds comes the 25-round lace chart — in each 8-stitch repeat one column of yarn-over holes, a hole on every other round, with five rounds of extra decreases that take the yoke to 69 (72, 75) stitches. The neckband is knitted on 4½ mm: one round decreasing 6 stitches, then a lace rib of purl 1, knit 2 with yarn overs, bound off in purl 1, knit 2. The underarms are grafted, and the sweater is rinsed by hand and laid flat to dry.

Design: Védís Jónsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 29 (no. 17), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/Styrkur_Arctic_Blue_Pullover_Plotulopi_Sweater_Knitting_Kit_1_4e4a24dd-8f69-48f9-9d7f-72e3d2095487.jpg?v=1791028092
