The body starts with a flared welt: 216 (240, 252, 264) stitches of K2, P2 rib knitted back and forth on 4.5 mm for 3 cm, then halved on 3.5 mm — knit 2 together, purl 2 together — and finished with 1.5 cm of K1, P1. Two purl stitches are cast on at the front for the steek and the work is joined. The body is knitted in narrow stripes from a 28-round colour chart, with two decrease rounds of 6 stitches on the way up. The sleeves start with the same flared cuff on double-pointed needles and follow the same stripes, increasing at the underarm. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke: the stripes carry on, and four decrease rounds from chart 2 bring it down to 57 (61, 63, 65) stitches. The collar is knitted back and forth in chocolate heather: 2 cm of K1, P1 on 3.5 mm, then every stitch is doubled and it goes on in K2, P2 on 4.5 mm to 7 (8, 8, 8) cm, so it flares. The front is machine-sewn and cut open, the underarms are grafted, and K1, P1 bands are picked up along both fronts and the collar edges, with 5 buttonholes on the right.

Design: Rebekka Kristjánsdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 31 (no. 11), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi31-sara-cover-1_e5b6bdb2-d26e-4c4c-869a-835f0d99b406.jpg?v=1790985249
