On 7 mm, two charts are worked in turn all over — chart 1, 6 rounds with a midnight blue zigzag, and chart 2, 12 rounds with bands of midnight blue, denim heather and grey heather — with a purled stitch at each side. The sleeves start with 18 (19, 20) cm of K2, P2 rib in white on 6 mm double-pointed needles and follow the same charts, increased either side of a purled stitch under the arm; they are knitted to about 61 (63, 64) cm, and in the photo the rib is folded back. Body and sleeves are joined for the round yoke, with a V-neck bound off at each side of the steek and four decrease rounds of 24 stitches in the solid white rounds. The steek is machine-sewn and cut. Each front gets a band of K2, P2 rib, picked up from the hem to the centre back of the neck; short rows and increases build it up into half a shawl collar, about 14 cm deep at the back, and the two halves are sewn together at the centre back. The buttons go on the right band and the 5 buttonholes in the left.

Design: Bergrós Kjartansdóttir — pattern from Lopi No. 33 (no. 5), Ístex.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1662/1057/files/lopi33-rokkur-1_ef386edd-63e5-4038-b3c4-6f5dd6ec8699.jpg?v=1791005776
